This pretty little plant takes its name from one of the three graces, Euphrosyne, although it was not until the Middle Ages that its beneficial effects were noted, coming to be known as Eyebright.
Tincture of fresh Euphrasia officinalis (Eyebright) herb, extracted in alcohol (65% v/v).
For oral use only. Adults: 20 drops twice daily, in a little water. Children: (2-12 years) 1 drop per year of age 2 or 3 times daily in a little water.
Avoid during pregnancy or if breast-feeding. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Alfred Vogel knew it as a wild plant which enjoys living in grassland, drawing nutrients from its companion plants. Collected in late summer, the aerial parts are used to create this remedy.
