Creating a truly effective zinc-only sunscreen is much harder than simply mixing zinc into a cream. To get a formula that’s stable, easy to wear, naturally preserved and capable of forming a reliable protective barrier, it took us four years of work. But it was worth every minute — this is a sunscreen we’re proud to use on ourselves, our families and anyone we care about.

We chose zinc because it’s naturally derived and offers broad-spectrum protection by acting like a reflective shield on the skin. Yes, it can make the texture a little thicker than chemical sunscreens, but it’s gentle, reliable and suitable for everyone — babies, kids, adults and even those with very sensitive skin.

This sunscreen is ideal for anyone who reacts to chemical UV filters or simply prefers a zinc-based formula that isn’t greasy. It’s also perfect for people who like to know exactly what’s in their products.

Our original SPF testing was completed by Dermatest (now Eurofins) in Australia, and we later had an 18-month-old batch tested again, including preliminary water-resistance testing. The results showed the formula remains water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, but as always, we recommend reapplying after swimming, sweating or towel drying to maintain full protection.
