Viridian Pregnancy Complex is a comprehensive, nutritionist-formulated supplement designed specifically to meet the elevated nutritional demands of pregnancy and support both maternal health and the optimal development of the growing baby. This carefully constructed formula provides essential vitamins, minerals, and supportive nutrients at appropriate and safe doses for use throughout all trimesters of pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding.

The formula is built around the most nutritionally critical nutrients for pregnancy. Folic acid is provided as methylfolate — the biologically active form that bypasses the genetic limitations that can reduce conversion of synthetic folic acid — at the recommended 400ug dose to support normal cell division and reduce the risk of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. Vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin and vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5-phosphate support folate metabolism and neurological development.

Iron is included as gentle and well-absorbed iron bisglycinate to support normal red blood cell formation and prevent anaemia during pregnancy, when blood volume expands substantially. Iodine is provided at the recommended level for its essential role in foetal thyroid hormone production and neurological development — iodine deficiency during pregnancy is one of the leading preventable causes of intellectual disability worldwide. Vitamin D3 from lichen (a vegan source) supports normal immune function, bone mineralisation, and has been linked to reduced risk of pregnancy complications.

Additional nutrients including vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, and magnesium provide antioxidant protection, immune support, and general nutritional insurance.
