Where Tissue Salts Come From

Dr Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler (1821-1898) developed his biochemic system after years of studying the mineral content of human tissues. He settled on twelve salts, each prepared at a gentle potency by trituration with milk sugar, and suggested they be taken as small, easily dissolved tablets. His ideas proved popular well beyond Germany, and the twelve salts he described are still produced to the same principles by specialist manufacturers today.
