Understanding Combination I

Combination I contains Ferrum Phos (iron phosphate), Kali Sulph (potassium sulphate) and Mag Phos (magnesium phosphate), each at 6X. The Schuessler range is made by Martin & Pleasance, an Australian natural health company with roots in the nineteenth century and one of the best known tissue salt specialists in the world. Each salt is prepared at a 6X potency, meaning it has been diluted one part in ten, six times over, and the tablets are small enough to chew quickly or crush into a little water. The twelve single salts are numbered alphabetically from No 1 Calc Fluor to No 12 Silica, which is worth noting, as some other brands use a different numbering order.

Building Your Routine

The traditional approach is little and often. Many people take Combination I four times a day as a maintenance routine, ideally half an hour before meals with the last dose at bedtime, and increase the frequency for short periods when they feel they need it. Keeping your doses away from strong mint, coffee and food is thought to help, and consistency over several weeks tends to matter more than any single dose.
