For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not use on broken or irritated skin, and discontinue use if redness or irritation develops. Keep out of reach of children. Contains essential oils with naturally occurring linalool and limonene, which may cause a reaction in sensitive individuals - carry out a patch test first if you have sensitive skin.
After shampooing, rub the bar between wet hands or glide it gently over damp hair, concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends. Comb through with your fingers, leave for a minute or two, then rinse thoroughly. Those with fine hair may prefer to keep it away from the roots. For a liquid conditioner, dissolve the bar in a jug with 600ml of boiling water, allow to cool and decant into a bottle of your choice. Store the bar somewhere dry between uses.
But we can let you know when it's back in.
Swapping your shampoo bottle for a bar is one thing, but finding a solid conditioner that genuinely softens is where many people give up. Friendly Soap's Conditioner Bar in Lavender & Tea Tree is the answer. This 90g bar uses a nourishing blend of cocoa butter and castor oil to leave hair softer, smoother and far easier to manage, all without a plastic bottle in sight. It is award-winning, vegan and made by hand in West Yorkshire.
The secret lies in the conditioning agents. Behentrimonium methosulfate is a gentle, plant-derived conditioner whose positive charge is attracted to the negative charge of freshly washed hair, helping to smooth the surface, reduce tangles and tame frizz. Cetyl alcohol, a fatty alcohol, adds slip and softness, while cocoa butter and castor oil provide rich nourishment. The bar is pH balanced at around 7, which is ideal for hair care, and it pairs perfectly with a Friendly Soap shampoo bar.
Lavender essential oil gives the bar a calming, floral-herbal fragrance that makes hair washing feel like a relaxing ritual, while tea tree leaf oil adds a crisp, clean freshness that leaves the scalp feeling refreshed. The bar glides easily over damp hair and rinses out without leaving a heavy residue. Hair is left soft, detangled and lightly scented. If you prefer a liquid, you can even dissolve the bar in boiling water to make your own conditioner.
Plastic-free from start to finish, this bar arrives in a recycled and recyclable card box and is free from palm oil, parabens, SLS, sulphates, phthalates, triclosan and synthetic fragrances. It is made in small batches in the UK, registered with The Vegan Society and approved by Cruelty Free International. Friendly Soap also holds a Best rating from Ethical Consumer, recognising a business built on fair pay, ethical sourcing and a genuine commitment to reducing waste.
Suitable for most hair types and especially popular with those who love a fresh, herbal scent. It is a brilliant swap for anyone moving to a plastic-free hair care routine.
Like all handmade solid hair care, this bar lasts longest when it is kept dry between washes. Store it on a free-draining dish or rack away from the direct spray of the shower, or in a travel box once it has dried. Treated well, a single bar can replace several plastic bottles and last for many weeks of regular use.
Every Friendly Soap product is designed to be as kind as possible to people and planet alike. The range is free from palm oil, parabens, SLS, triclosan and phthalates, and it is registered with The Vegan Society and approved by Cruelty Free International. Choosing it is a small, simple step towards a home with less plastic and fewer unnecessary chemicals.
