Microsuction is a modern, safe, and effective method for removing earwax using a gentle medical suction device. Unlike traditional methods (like ear syringing or irrigation), microsuction does not involve water, making it a preferred choice for people with ear infections, perforated eardrums, or previous ear surgeries. Our audiologists are all highly-trained and have a success rate of 99.8%.

Before the procedure, we recommend patients to use olive oil drops for at least five days. This is to soften the earwax so as to avoid any discomfort during the procedure. While we still see patients who haven’t used oil, please be aware that in rare instance, they may be asked to come for a second visit especially if the wax is too hard to remove in one session. In these cases, the second appointment is given a 40% discount.

Her journey began in the NHS in 2008. By 2012, Mary earned her HND in Health and Social Care, and in 2015 she became a certified Microsuction Practitioner, specializing in gentle, precision ear wax removal. Building on this foundation, Mary qualified as an Audiologist Practitioner in 2020 and completed a Diploma in Pathology of the Auditory System and ENT Emergencies the same year. She further honed her skills with an M Cert in Audiology in 2024, staying at the forefront of the latest rehabilitation techniques.

Jason Levy, on the other hand, has over 20 years of experience in the hearing industry. He is an HCPC Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser who holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Pathology of the Auditory System and ENT Emergencies. His work spans both NHS and private audiology settings, where he specializes in tinnitus treatment and is a certified Microsuction Practitioner. Jason strives to enhance individuals’ hearing and overall quality of life through personalized care.
